客户端和PHP之间的区别在于,客户端链接到libmariadb (因此能够加载auth_gssapi_plugin ),而mysqli要么链接到libmysql,要么链接到PHP的内部mysqlnd驱动程序。

除了Kerberos/GSSAPI之外,MariaDB还提供了libmysql和mysqlnd不支持的ed25519和pam身份验证(通过对话框插件)。

不幸的是,在MariaDB连接器/C上构建ext/mysqli不起作用,最近修复该问题的拉取请求被拒绝。
