为什么我不能安装我的cd/dvd驱动器？

确认:一位朋友在运行windows 7的上网本上测试了这个驱动器，它可以运行dvd (星际争霸2，如果有人关心的话)。Windows可以在没有任何驱动程序的情况下访问驱动器，只需插入n即可。因此，不存在硬件问题/缺陷。同样，当我将驱动器插入Ubuntu12.10时，听起来好像驱动器每隔几秒钟就会重新启动一次。所以问题是，这是一个bug，还是其他可以修复的问题。

我发现了问题，人们会为此恨我的。两个是连接到一个单一的usb集线器，使用第二个端口额外的电源。我把dvd连接到usb集线器上了。我移除集线器，把dvd驱动器直接连接到笔记本电脑上，它就能工作了。显然，尽管使用了两个usb端口，集线器无法在允许我操作鼠标和键盘的同时为驱动器提供足够的电源。
